Isla has been selected at the ‘Lush Staff Judge’ this year.
I’ve had the pleasure of working for Lush for five years and during this time I progressed from a Christmas temporary sales assistant to a supervisor in Livingston, Scotland. In that time, I have gained an extensive knowledge about Lush and their ethical considerations in all aspects of the company from producing products to the greater communities which they support.
Being a supervisor, I have lead many training sessions essential to the growth and development of staff. Also being able to share my knowledge with customers gives me great satisfaction.
Whilst at Lush I attended Edinburgh Napier University and have recently graduated with First Class Honours degree in Biomedical science. In October I will be starting a research masters which involves using human cells for prostate cancer treatment.
My scientific background combined with my passion for Lush has stimulated an interest into alternatives to animal testing and using human cells and regenerative medicine techniques as a replacement for this.
