2024 Judges
We welcomed back four distinguished scientists and campaigners who had served as judges in previous years, and also welcome professors Ellen Fritsche and Marize Campos Valadaresn, Dr Kasturi Mahadik and Lush staff member judge Tijana Popivoda and Lush customer judge Isabel Davis.
Isabel Davis
Isabel was selected as the Lush Customer judge for 2024, and is particularly passionate about supporting local, ethical and sustainable businesses.
Ellen Fritsche
Ellen is Professor of Environmental Toxicology at the Heinrich-Heine-University of Düsseldorf, Germany and holds a Guest Professorship at the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in Hangzhou, China.
Kamel Mansouri
Kamel is a computational chemist who obtained his PhD in computational chemistry from the University of Milano Bicocca, Italy, as a Marie Curie fellow (eco-itn).
Kasturi Mahadik
Dr Kasturi Mahadik is a scientist and science communicator. She leads the Centre for Predictive Human Model Systems, a premier science and policy centre that advocates for human-relevant research in India.
Tijana Popivoda
Our Staff Judge for 2024, Tijana works as an Ethical Policy Coordinator within the Lush’s EU Buying teams (Croatia and Germany).
Troy Seidle
Troy is Vice President, Research and Toxicology at Humane Society International. In this role he leads HSI’s global team of campaigners, lobbyists and scientists working to end animal testing for cosmetics.
Gilly Stoddart
Dr Gilly Stoddart is the associate director of the PETA International Science Consortium Ltd, and is also PETA UK’s Head of Science.
Kristie Sullivan
Kristie Sullivan M.P.H. leads the Education and Outreach programs at IIVS (Institute for In Vitro Sciences), organising training to advance acceptance and use of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs).
Marize Campos Valadares
Marize is a Full Professor of Toxicology at the Pharmacy Faculty, Universidade Federal de Goiás, Brazil, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Tübingen, Germany.
Shrike Zhang
Dr. Y. Shrike Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Associate Bioengineer in the Division of Engineering in Medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
