Dr Zheng Tan
Dr Zheng Tan is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Blood Research at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada.
She earned her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from UBC and specialises in human-based disease modelling to study the molecular mechanisms of atopic diseases. Her research focuses on the complex multi-organ communication underlying atopic disease progression, with particular emphasis on the transition from atopic dermatitis to other atopic conditions.
She has developed a three-dimensional, human-derived lymph node model and integrated it into an organ-on-a-chip platform to more accurately replicate disease progression in vivo.
Zheng was a winner of the Lush Prize 2024 Young Researcher Award.
